Tuesday Montana COVID Update

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The rate of new COVID-19 cases in Montana is continuing to trend downward.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services reported 150 new COVID-19 cases and three new deaths across the state in their Tuesday morning update.

Big Horn, Chouteau, and Yellowstone Counties all reported one new death. All occurred in March.

The known active COVID case count in the state continues to decline, and is now at 942, while there are 83 active COVID-related hospitalizations.

Gallatin County led the way in newly reported cases with 26, followed by Yellowstone with 21.

The percentage of eligible Montanans considered fully immunized is at 55 percent, with over 1.41 million vaccine doses administered.
