HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Two local agricultural leaders are being honored Thursday during the Northern Agricultural Research Center (NARC) Virtual Field Day.
Fifth-generation rancher Clayton Hofeldt of Lloyd is being honored with the 2020 Outstanding Ag Leader Award for his willingness to share his knowledge of agriculture and cattle with others through hands-on experiences and support of area agriculture related activities.
Hill County Ag Extension Agent Tom Allen is being honored with the 2020 Outstanding Ag Advocate Award for his lifelong involvement with agriculture in north-central Montana. Allen connects producers and public in the agriculture and natural resources fields to science-based research from MSU, and also works with developing 4-H youth in Hill County.
The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce presents their Outstanding Ag Leader and Outstanding Ag Advocate Awards annually to people that have demonstrated leadership and/or advocacy for Montana’s agricultural industry in North Central Montana.
