GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – Two Big Sandy residents appeared in U.S. District Court in Great Falls on Friday to face charges related to alleged meth distribution.
Clayton Gary Bailey, 48, and Brigitte Ann Bailey, 43, both of Big Sandy, face charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth and possession with intent to distribute meth.
Court documents state that a Grand Jury found probable cause that the Bailey’s possessed at least 50 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute on two different occasions in 2019 while on the Rocky Boy Reservation.
If convicted of the most serious crime, the Baileys face a minimum mandatory 10 years to life in prison, a $10 million fine and at least five years of supervised release.
Both defendants were detained pending further proceedings. The FBI, Tri-Agency Task Force and Chippewa Cree Law Enforcement Services investigated the case.
The Baileys face a detention hearing on Tuesday at 10 AM.
