(NMB) – Montana’s lone representative in the U.S. House of Congress, Republican Matt Rosendale has defended his vote against a non-binding resolution supporting the people of Ukraine.
In an interview with KGVO in Missoula, Rosendale, one of just three Congressmen to vote against the resolution, said that he would like to see America’s border with Mexico secured and the opioid epidemic under control before sending “unlimited military, monetary and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.”
The non-binding resolution featured wording that urged the U.S. to provide “defensive security assistance” to Ukraine and to continue to support the Ukrainian people.
