UM to Host Academic World Quest

The Montana World Affairs Council, part of the University of Montana College of Business, will host the 2026 Academic WorldQuest and welcome 500 outstanding Montana high school students to UM from Sunday through Tuesday, March 1-3.

As the home of Montana’s only international business major, UM’s College of Business proudly supports programs that connect students to meaningful international experiences.

Since 2005, Academic WorldQuest has brought together students from across the state to explore global cultures, engage with current events and expand their worldviews through conversations with global leaders and peers.

Academic WorldQuest prepares students to thrive in an interconnected world by fostering global awareness, responsible engagement and critical thinking. Topics will include the global economy, conservation and current events, helping students expand their horizons and consider Montana’s role in an international context.

The event will end with a trivia competition testing student knowledge of global issues. The winning team will represent Montana at the National Academic WorldQuest Competition in Washington, D.C., in April.
