HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – United Way of Hill County is seeking applications for non-profits interested in becoming one of their 2022 funded partners.
Any tax exempt 501(c)3 non-profit in Hill County with a mission of advancing education, income, and health are invited to apply, according to Executive Director Delonna Malone.
“We encourage new non-exempt organizations to apply for our grants. We would like to see a wider variety of applicants instead of just the same that we usually have been doing. So we really encourage new or existing non-profits to apply for our grants.”
Malone says the process of choosing funded partners is simple and community-oriented.
“We put the applications out to the public. Then we form a committee of community members and board members and we interview the applicants. We look look at the organizations, of course, that serve in the areas of health, education, and income. Then we score the interviews and the committee presents the scores to the Board of Directors, and the Board decides which organizations and how much money is allocated to each.”
The application deadline is July 20th.
