(Rocky Boy) – The Great Plains Veteran Service Center will be hosting it’s Great Plains 2nd Annual Veterans Stand Down event on July 27th from 10am to 2pm. Chauncey Parker the executive director of the Great Plains Veteran Service Center talks about the guest speakers who will attend the event.
“We do have a number of guest speakers, you have of course Senator Testers Representatives but another one in specific is our board member Brandi King. She has a special connection to the suicide prevention program as the suicide prevention program when it was released was actually named in honor of Commander John Scott Hannon of the bill that the Staff Sergeant Fox program falls under. So commander John Scott Hannon was actually a mentor for our board member Brandi King she was going to the same program that he was and really provided a lot of mentorship to her. So, I think she will be providing a little more narrative on that relationship and how important the program is.”
