BILLINGS, Mont. (NMB) – The Zimmerman Trail in Billings was temporarily closed on Monday after a truck fell off the edge of the trail.
The Billings Police Department says a 35-year-old male was driving a pickup south just before 10 AM when they collided head-on with a northbound passenger car driven by a 68-year-old male and also occupied by a 64-year-old female. The collision sent the pickup over the guard rail.
The pickup landed at the bottom of the hill and the driver was ejected. All three people involved in the accident sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
As of Monday afternoon, the trail remained closed to allow for repairs to the protective barrier and guard rail.
