HILL COUNTY (NMB) On Wednesday afternoon the Chippewa Cree Tribal Resources Department Facebook page reported that there is a wildland fire in the Eagle Creek area on the Beaver Creek side of the mountains.
Hill County commissioner Mark Peterson spoke with New Media Broadcasters and says Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator Amanda Frickel was contacting DNRC and other fire agencies to respond to the incident.
Peterson say the fire is in the area of the Ski Bowl. The public is advised to stay out of the area for safety reasons.
At this time, it is too early to determine how the fire started and how many acres are impacted.
