Winter Brew Fest Kicks of Saturday at Havre Ice Dome

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – This Saturday, the Snowdance Ski Association will host their 4th annual Hi-Line Winter Brew Fest at the Havre Ice Dome. Dave Martens Jr. says the event raises money to help support Bear Paw Ski Bowl and will feature about 15 Montana breweries and wineries. The tasting starts at 4 PM and the last keg will be tapped at 8:30.

“It’s going to be $15 to taste brews, wine, and cider and that includes a commemorative 8 ounce tasting glass to the first 1,000 attendees. You also get two drink tickets and a drink ticket gets you an 8 ounce pour. Extra drink tickets are purchased at $2 a piece.”

Martens hopes they can raise $10,000 this year and they plan on installing a rope tow for beginning skiers.

“Our plan is to purchase a rope tow from Bridger Ski Area and we’ll have that installed by next fall to start new skiers. This year, Bridger donated a bunch of skis and we opened a rental shop. A rope tow will allow beginning skiers more opportunities to take runs on easier terrain.”

Live music will be provided by Mighty Big Jim and the Tall Boys and the Eagle Creek Ski Patrol will be serving food. Safe rides home will be provided by Havre Ford.
