Woman Injured by Bison in Yellowstone

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Mont. (NMB) – The Billings Gazette reports that a 30-year-old woman was flown to an Idaho Falls Hospital for treatment after suffering significant injuries in an encounter with a bison in Yellowstone National Park.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon near the northern end of Yellowstone Lake. It is unclear how the incident occurred, as details are currently minimal.

It is recommended that people stay a minimum of 25 yards away from all large animals, including bison, when visiting the park.
