Havre, MT – MSU-Northern Lights and Skylights Rodeo concluded their fall season back in late September and each finished third in Big Sky region standings.
Head coach of Northern Rodeo, Doug Kellenberger, knows that being a college rodeo athlete is very different experience than it is for major sport athletes and is proud of how his teams answer the challenge.
“You can watch these kids from top to bottom from juniors to seniors. These kids put in a lot of time with their animals a lot of time in the arena a lot of time on the dummy. I mean its countless hours their spending five or six hours a day. It’s a little a different being a college rodeo athlete because they don’t just to the gym they have to get their animals, pick up some trailers, saddles, tack, rope, its a big investment and these kids have one extremely well.”
Northern Rodeo will resume its regular season in the spring at Montana State University.
