(Harlem) The American Legion Riders put on their annual Wounded Warrior Poker Run this past weekend, with a big stop in Harlem for lunch amid last minute changes in both venue and caterer.
This stop also saw a pipe ceremony from members of the Fort Belknap Reservation, New Media Broadcasters spoke with Gordon Gray, a musician in that ceremony.
“What we had today was a pipe ceremony in honor of the veterans that had shown up on warrior bikes and I take it it’s for the veterans, the reason for it. And as our people, the Assiniboine people go, when people ask us for prayers for such things as this the tabacco was passed. We totally accepted it and did the pipe ceremony and prayers just for this ride”
