(Yellowstone National Park) Yellowstone National Park says they’ll have two major road improvement projects in 2024.
The first will be the Lewis River Bridge, located 10 miles north of the south entrance to the park, on the aptly named South Entrance Road. The park says expect 20-minute delays during the season this road will be open to wheeled vehicles.
The second is the Yellowstone River Bridge, near Tower Junction along Northeast Entrance Road. Yellowstone says this one can cause delays up to a half hour, and that hiking trails may also be temporarily closed.
Both projects will result in newly constructed bridges and more parking spaces, according to Yellowstone, with the Lewis River Bridge finishing this fall and the Yellowstone River Bridge wrapping up in 2026.
