HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The 2019 Great Northern Fair wrapped up on Sunday, bringing an end to five days of carnival rides, entertainment and 4-H competitions. Fair Board Chairman Tyler Smith says that, aside from some wind and a little rain, the Fair went very well this year.
“I think by all measures, minus a little wind, we had a really great Fair. The temps were a lower and the Demo Derby went over quite well. We, actually pretty close to filled the stands on that event and the Fair Board and Jaycees are extremely happy with how that went.”
Smith says they brought back free entertainment this year, which was a hit. They had a band, a hockey circus show, and pig races.
“We brought back some free entertainment this year and we had a lot of positive comments on that and are very happy with how some of those turned out. We had some kids from Kansas called State Line Drive.”
Smith says their next meeting will be Tuesday night to discuss how the fair went and the public is invited to voice their opinions. It will be at 5:30 PM in the new office on the Great Northern Fairgrounds.
