CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – The annual Sugarbeet Festival in Chinook was a success over the weekend, according to Chinook Area Chamber of Commerce President Daniel Dahl. Dahl says the attendance to the festival was a little lower than they hoped, but the high school had out of town games which likely contributed. He says they had a consistent stream of people come through the event throughout the day.
Dahl says that no one signed up to participate in their pie-eating contest, so they changed things up and let people pay to throw pies at him. He didn’t want to waste the ten pies they had and the event drew quite the crowd.
The 2019 Sugarbeet Festival was a success overall and they look forward to next year’s event.
