(NMB) March 1st is the day Montanans can buy their 2026 hunting and fishing licenses. Hunters and anglers buying their license in person will see some changes as FWP is transitioning to a license ambassador program. Marc Kloker, FWP’s region six Education Program Ambassador told New Media Broadcasters that the change will move all license sales to Montana’s on line licensing system.
“It’s very similar to what it was before, businesses, that if they want to opt in, will have in most cases some sort of kiosk or a desk where folks can go, basically, on line service, but can go there, buy their licenses, print them out, get help from staff, if staff is there and available and can still make those purchases like they did before.”
As always, you can buy and apply for hunting and fishing licenses on-line and at your local Fish, Wildlife and Parks office.
