HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Independent Record reports that three people were injured on Wednesday after a small plane crashed near Helena.
The twin-engine Cessna 425 landed in a field north of Helena just before 9 AM. It was on its way from Faribault, Minnesota to Missoula but had diverted due to an engine problem.
The injuries ranged from a broken ankle to breathing injuries.
The crash did not lead to a fire, but the plane was leaking fuel and clipped tree branches on its descent.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
