HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The 2019 Great Northern Fair is underway and there is a full schedule of 4-H Events through Sunday. Family & Consumer Science and 4-H MSU Extension Agent Jasmine Carbajal says that they have a few new things going on this year, like a dog show and new shakes at the 4-H Chuckwagon.
“We have a dog show, which we didn’t have before. And I believe that’s going to be on our Friday show. So, we’re really excited because the kids that, they have their dogs, they’ve been training their dogs are going to be able to come showcase for that show. And we didn’t have anybody in those projects last year.”
Carbajal says that the 4-H Chuckwagon will have all of the favorite foods from last year, as well as some new specials.
“We have some new flavors in the shake department. We added, like a peanut butter flavor, a Mounds Joy flavor of a shake. So we are kind of trying some new shakes. I know those were really popular last year. And we have some daily specials that we’re going to have as well on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday that aren’t part of the regular menu.”
The 4-H Chuckwagon will open at 11 AM daily and their Market Sale will be held in the Bigger Better Barn on Sunday at 1 PM.
