Thursday night was an exciting trip for the MSU Northern basketball squads against the Montana Western Bulldogs in Dillon in a double-header program. The Skylights started the game full blast but fell behind the female Bulldogs by the second quarter and fell in the final moments, Montana Western 69, MSU 54.
In the men’s game the Lights tied the game against the Bulldogs nine times and even tied at the end of regulation. In a game that came down to the free throw line, Western inched out a win in OT, Bulldogs 85, Lights 78.
The next game and double bill for MSU Northern is on Saturday against Montana Tech. Men’s and women’s games on QX 92.5 FM, start times at 2 and 4.
