CLEVELAND, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are seeking any information regarding live white-tailed deer that were shot and left south of Chinook near Cleveland.
On December 29th, Game Warden Hayden Hussey received a call concerning a dead dear on the Nick Faber Ranch, two miles southwest of the Cleveland Road and Peoples Creek Road intersection.
While speaking with the landowner and upon further investigation, Hussey found five deer, including: one whitetail buck, two whitetail does and two fawns.
All the deer were determined to have been shot and left to waste in the field.
Anyone with information about this is encouraged to call Hussey directly at 406-942-2191, or call the FWP’s 24-hour wildlife tip line at 1-800-TIP-MONT. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for providing information that leads to a conviction.
