(Helena) – More than 5200 business registrations were filed with the Secretary of States Office in January 2024 according to the Montana Business Economic Report. This is up from 5100 business’s filed in January 2023.
59,000 business were registered in Montana in 2023, which surpassed the previous record by nearly 6,000.
According to Montana Secretary of State, Christi Jacobsen, there has been an increase to the efficiency of business registration. For example, businesses now have access to their registration, filings and documents 24/7. In addition, registration fees have been cut in half as well as waiving of the 2024 Annual Report filing fee for businesses that file by the April 15th deadline.
