Presentation Focused on Helping Older Adults Stay Active August 12th

Northern Montana Health Care is hosting a free presentation focused on helping older adults stay active, independent, and healthy. The presentation, offered by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services and the Alzheimer’s Association, will be held in the Third Floor Conference Room at Northern Montana Hospital from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12. No registration is required to attend the free presentation at Northern Montana Hospital.
NMHC social worker Janet Blackaby said the presentation will include information about the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, along with available resources for individuals and families.
The presentation will also focus on strategies that support healthy aging within the community, she added. Topics include brain health, nutrition, movement, and programs such as Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL), the benefits of Tai Chi, and resources and services available through the Alzheimer’s Association.
