HAVRE (NMB) The Friend’s of Beaver Creek Park is having an open house Sunday September 4th from to raise public awareness of the condition of the Beaver Creek Lodge.
Ursula Breese, Vice Chairperson of the foundation says the cost to repair and restore the lodge is increasing and more fundraising efforts are needed. Inviting the public to see the condition would hopefully increase the response from the community.
“We decide Friends would have an open house out there on Sunday the 4th from 1-5PM so the community could see what was wrong. We were going to do two days but it wasn’t feasible, but we wanted to do it before the cattle were let. They go out after Labor Day.”
The Friend’s of Beaver Creek Lodge is selling raffle tickets to raise money to repair the lodge but may not meet the $500,000 goal needed to repair the lodge without the passage of a levy on the November ballot. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Lodestar, Bear Paw Meats, Havre Beneath the Streets, Hill County Printing in Havre and Treasure State Title Company in Chinook.
The open house will be September 4th from 1PM-5PM. For more information or to join Friends of Beaver Creek Park foundation contact the Friend’s of Beaver Creek FaceBook page
