(Chinook) Chinook Public Schools are looking to run a tax levy that would ask the residents of Chinook to increase their property taxes to fund the schools, in addition to continuing an existing Technology Levy for 10 more years.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Superintendent of Chinook Public Schools, Fred Hofman, for more information.
“The district has three levies that are going to be on the ballot, one of them is a high school levy, we do have two separate districts: a high school district and an elementary school district. The high school levy is just a continuation of our technology levy. Then we have two levies in our elementary school district. One of those is building reserve levy, and that is for forty thousand a year, and then we have a general fund levy, that’s just a one-year levy, and that’s in the amount of 30, 876 dollars.”
Hofman gives more details on each of these levy asks in our Insight program.
