Montana State University-Northern is welcoming the public to its newly refinished tennis and pickleball courts just in time for the fall weather.
The campus renovation transformed two older tennis courts into a multi-use facility. The site now features one tennis court with multi-sport lines alongside two dedicated pickleball courts, addressing growing regional demand for the popular paddle sport.
The project was funded through a partnership between the Associated Students of MSU-Northern, using student activity fees, and the Natalie Patrick Foundation. Local businesses and community members also donated new lights and a windscreen to enhance the facility. Tammy Boles, Director of Auxiliaries at MSUN, noted that the project is a prime example of the university and the community coming together to invest in shared spaces.
The upgraded courts are free to use for students, faculty, staff, and the general public. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
