GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – The American Red Cross is facing a blood shortage and has issued an emergency call for eligible donors of all blood types to give now and prevent delays in medical care.
Some of the local donation opportunities include in Big Sandy on Tuesday, July 16th from 2 to 7 PM at the Big Sandy Senior Citizens Center. In Denton, you can donate blood on Tuesday, the 23rd from 1:45 to 7 PM at the Denton Town Hall. In Cut Bank, donations will be held on Wednesday, the 17th from 11 AM to 5:30 PM at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. And in Stanford, you can donate blood on Wednesday, the 24th from 1:30 to 6:30 PM at the Stanford Community Center.
During the Fourth of July weekend, about 17,000 fewer blood donations than needed for patients in a single week.
