HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – Governor Steve Bullock on Tuesday announced that the Agriculture Development Council has awarded funding to eight organizations across Montana enabling them to serve as Food and Agriculture Development Centers. A press release says that the centers support economic development by ensure that more of the state’s food, agricultural and energy dollars circulate in Montana.
Bear Paw Development Corporation in Havre is among the organizations that have received funding and are now part of the FADC network. The Great Falls Development Authority, Inc. in Great falls and Great Northern Development Corporation in Wolf Point are also part of the network.
The Montana FADC Network was created in 2009 and helps Montanans innovate and grow businesses that produce and commercialize food, agricultural and renewable energy products and processes, creating wealth and jobs in our communities and on our farms and ranches.
