2 People Arrested for Theft in Separate Incidents

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Two people have been arrested on theft charges in separate incidents in Hill County and Havre.

On Thursday afternoon, BNSF Railway Police reported a trespasser on BNSF property near Kremlin. Hill County Sheriff Jamie Ross says 76-year-old Allan Jay Woeppel was arrested just before 2 PM for trespassing and theft of some railroad spikes. He was arrested without incident.

At about 3 AM Friday morning, Havre Police received a call about an aggressive woman in the lobby of the Great Northern Inn. Havre Police say 49-year-old Sheila Walker was arrested for disorderly conduct, theft and resisting arrest. Walker allegedly got into the hotels food pantry and took some food items.

As of Friday morning, both people were being held in the Hill County Detention Center. Woeppel is being held on a $185 bond and Walker is being held on a $1,655 bond.
