TIBER, Mont. (NMB) – A section of water pipe has been prioritized for construction by the North Central Montana Regional Water Authority to provide water service to Oilmont and Nine Mile County Water Districts, which is planned to serve an area generally located northeast of Sunburst.
A press release says that prior to the receipt of water from Tiber Reservoir via the Core System Water Treatment Plant, the Water Authority will purchase water from the City of Shelby and covey the water to Oilmont and Nine Mile CWD’s via the construction of a series of pipelines, pump stations, and storage facilities.
The contractors working on the pipelines has returned to the project site after a harsh winter. The contractors working on the facilities started their work this spring and commenced work on the pump station site near Shelby. They are also scheduled to build a pump station near Sunburst and two water storage tanks at strategic locations.
