HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Saturday, the Montana State University-Northern Automotive Program will be hosting a Car Show in front of Cowan Hall to help raise awareness for the program that’s been ranked the second in the nation. Automotive and Diesel Professor Kevin Ruby says they will also be raising money for scholarships for students in their program. Car registration costs $15.
“We start registration at 9 and that will go until 11. At 11, we’ll start judging the cars. We have eight different trophies to give out. So, best hot rod, classic, muscle car, best engine, interior paint, and rat rod and truck. So, a couple of different categories for people to put their cars in.”
Ruby says they will also have a silent auction during the car show.
“The participants in the car show, after the car show is over are welcome to come to the football game and they can park along the back fence to watch the game and kind of show off their cars. So the car show will kind of continue up there a little bit. We’ll also have a silent auction table. So, we’ll have some little metal art that we’ll be auctioning off just to raise some money for the Skills Club.”
