HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Department of Agriculture has announced that Blake Brawley has accepted the bureau chief position for the Montana State Grain Lab.
Brawley, a native of Great Falls and a graduate of Montana State University-Northern, most recently served as a Field Agronomist for MillerCoors, specializing in dryland and irrigated barley production in northern Montana and southern Alberta.
Director Ben Thomas said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Blake to the Department. His agricultural education and experience in the grain industry stood out to us. The Grain Lab is vitally important to Montana’s ag industry and I’m confident Blake will serve Montana and out producers well.”
The Montana State Grain Lab locations in Great Falls and Plentywood are federally licensed crop quality testing facilities operating within guidelines set forth by the U.S. Grain Standards and Montana Grain Standards Acts.
