HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – This coming Wednesday, the Havre Eagle Riders’ and Friends will be going door-to-door around local businesses seeking donations for their variety of Christmas projects.
All proceeds go towards their Children’s Christmas Party, their toy drive, and their Adopt-A-Family program.
Candace Dess, President for the Havre Eagles Club Auxiliary, says that this donation effort comes after their Halloween Children’s Party was canceled due to a lack of funding.
“We rely on community support, fundraising and donations. So we had to cut a few programs that we like to do this year just because it’s gotten harder and harder to pay for the events, pay for the Christmas Party and Adopt-A-Family. So unfortunately we had to give something up.”
