HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – One of the suspects in Sunday night’s vehicle pursuit in Havre has more than two dozen pending felony charges in Hill County District Court on a separate matter.
According to court documents filed last Tuesday, 18-year-old Jaylen Jake Crazyboy faces 71 pending charges. 25 of those charges are felonies and include one count of Continuing Criminal Enterprise, five counts of Criminal Mischief and 11 counts of theft.
That case relates to a string of incidents from Jan. 2019 where numerous items of value were stolen or vandalized from stores and residences in Hill County. Stolen or vandalized items listed in the affidavit include hunting knives, several vehicles, an SKS rifle, computers, a television and jetpacks.
Court documents state that a confidential informant informed authorities that Crazyboy had been the organizer for the alleged thefts. According to the informant, Crazyboy allegedly offered to provide at least nine people with methamphetamine in exchange for engaging in criminal activity.
In addition, the pending charges Crazyboy faces for the Sunday night pursuit are a violation of his conditions of release in a separate case stemming from events that allegedly occured in Sept. and Oct. of 2019. Those conditions included having to abide by curfew and being fitted for a GPS monitoring device.
For the case with 71 pending counts, Deputy Hill County Attorney R. Tim Jeffrey has suggested setting bail at $50,000.
Crazyboy also has a March trial scheduled in a third case where he is charged with three felonies for alleged incidents that also occurred in Sept. and Oct. of 2019.
Crazyboy is being held in the Hill County Detention Center without bond.
