Havre City Council Signs Scouts Week Proclamation

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre’s City Council met for its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday night in City Hall.

During the brief meeting, a number of agenda items were unanimously passed. Two of these involved the Bullhook Stormdrain project. One allowed Havre to receive the final $10,000 from a grant they were previously awarded, and another approved a payment of nearly $270,000 to the contractor.

The council also accepted the $47,500 Community Development Block Grant awarded to the Eagles Manor. This grant will begin the planning for renovations to the Eagles Manor, including the elevator.

Near the end of the meeting, after public comment from a local Boy Scouts of America troop member, Mayor Tim Solomon signed a proclamation making the week that begins on February 9 ‘National Scouts BSA Week’ in Havre.

The next City Council meeting is scheduled for February 18.
