Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern Lights and Skylights athletics is hosting their Hall of Fame induction Ceremony this Friday.
The 2026 Northern Athletics HOF class is headlined by current athletic director and former athletic trainer Christian Oberquell, who spoke with NMB Sports on what makes his induction in this specific class so special.
“I’m pretty sure they were all students when I was the athletic trainer or athletic trainer and athletic director combined.” Oberquell shared
“One of the big ones is Don Sasberry. We had had some good relationships when I was the Athletic Trainer and he and his wife were students here.”
This year’s class features six athletes and or staff members who left a lasting impact on Northern Lights and Skylights athletics.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held this Friday, September 4, and all inductees will be recognized during halftime of MSU-Northern football’s home opener against Montana Western this Saturday, September 5.
