Pony Post, September 1, 2026
Welcome to Havre Public Schools latest installment of Pony Post. Each year, I set a new goal regarding expanding connections with families. This year along with monthly Pony Posts, I will be featuring a YouTube video on our website entitled “Scoop with the Sup”. This video will feature a new school each month, so families can get a feel for what’s happening in each building. This will also feature such areas as the Bus Garage, Robins, and Blue Pony Stadium.
At the September school board meeting, we will have potential approval for a Community Development Block Grant. Bear Paw Development has partnered with Havre Public Schools to secure some additional grant dollars that would go towards improvements at Lincoln McKinley. If approved, Havre Public Schools will work with Bear Paw Development in terms of allocating all the necessary information for the upcoming renovations. I will keep our community informed of what these renovations will look like if the grant is obtained this spring.
This past summer, Independence Bank donated a new score clock to Blue Pony Stadium, which was very much appreciated. The new score clock is up and functional, so swing by the stadium to check out a game. Our Ponies play at home this weekend with volleyball kicking off on Thursday and football on Friday night.
Finally, Havre Public Schools is still looking for people to join our amazing team. While most positions have been filled, we still have some openings within the district. Please look on our website for details or contact Beth Heydon at the Robins Administration Building.
