HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre Elks Lodge No. 1201 donates dictionaries to third-grade school children in Hill and Blaine Counties.
Havre Elks Lodge No. 1201 donated 126 dictionaries to Havre Public Schools, 8 dictionaries to St. Jude’s School, 13 dictionaries to North Star School, 45 Dictionaries to Rocky Boy Schools and 35 dictionaries to Box Elder Schools.
Lodge Exalted Ruler Kyle Leeds said, “when our lodge members delivered these dictionaries to the students…the excitement to own and utilize their own dictionary and the thirst for knowledge by the students was heartwarming.”
The dictionaries were funded through donations made by members and the public at last year’s bake sale, which will now be held annually as a youth activity at the lodge.
