Havre, MT – With the Start of Montana State University Northern Lights fall camp two freshman are experiencing something they loved growing up.
Havre High graduates Griffen Terry and Teegan Solomon have completed their first week of fall camp as part of the Lights football program.
Both Northern freshmen shared with NMB Sports what it’s like to officially play for their hometown team.
“It’s been a lot of fun, a lot of work and I’m happy to be here working hard.” Solomon said
“I love it. I’m able to play for my hometown, I’ve lived here my entire life. Be able to hopefully give the community something to be excited for and put fans in the stands every saturday at noon.” Griffen stated.
Griffen also spoke to joining his older brother Crawford on the field. “Playing with my brother, I mean I love it. I’m able to hit him in the head a few times, I’m able to attack him and we jaw a little bit but that’s fun and I love that.” Griffen shared. Crawford is a linebacker for Lights.
Griffen Terry joins a four-man quarterback room battling for the starting role. Solomon joins a talented wide receiver room where he looks to contribute.
The Lights will open the season on the road at Carroll College Thursday August 27, with Kickoff at 6p.m.
