American Prairie Reserve to Offer 26 Bison Harvest Opportunities

BOZEMAN, Mont. (NMB) – The American Prairie Reserve is once again offering an annual public bison harvest of its Sun Prairie Unit.

This year APR is offering 26 total opportunities, with all but two being awarded in a way that gives preference to those that live and work in Montana.

Of the 26 opportunities, seven will go to local residents, eight will go to Montana residents and five will go to members of the Fort Peck, Fort Belknap or Rocky Boy communities.

Of the other six opportunities, four will be donated to local charities for fundraising, and two will go to the general public worldwide.

The drawing is free to enter, and registrants awarded the opportunity to harvest are required to pay a non-refundable fee of $300. Eligible individuals must fill out and submit the form by June 30th. The 22 non-charity recipients will be randomly selected on July 10th.

Complete details, terms, rules and a link to enter the drawing is available online at the APR website.
