Blaine County Reports 16 COVID-19 Cases for Second Straight Day

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – On Friday, Blaine County reported 16 new COVID-19 cases.

It is the second straight day Blaine County reported 16 new cases. The previous daily record was seven, set on Monday.

Blaine County has now reported 71 total COVID-19 cases. 51 are active, including one hospitalization.

The majority of cases appear to be on the Fort Belknap Reservation, which sits primarily in Blaine County and goes into a 14-day shutdown at 11:59 PM Friday night.

Active cases continue to isolate and contact tracing is being conducted.

Fort Belknap Tribal Health has reported 46 total COVID-19 cases, 41 of which are active.

Blaine County’s numbers include all cases on Fort Belknap within the Blaine County boundaries.
