
FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – With the COVID-19 pandemic showing little sign of slowing down on the Hi-Line, the Fort Belknap Reservation has extended their shutdown by another two weeks.
The shutdown initially went into place on October 2nd and was supposed to end at 11:59 PM on October 16th. It is now scheduled to continue through 11:59 PM on October 30th.
During the shutdown, all stores on the Reservation are directed to close nightly at 7 PM, and alcohol sales will remain prohibited. A nightly curfew from 9 PM-6 AM will also be in place.
As of Thursday night, 165 total COVID-19 cases had been confirmed on the Fort Belknap Reservation. 96 were active, including eight hospitalizations. 69 had recovered and two had died.
