Blaine County Plans to Move to Phase 1B of COVID-Vaccinations Later this Month

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – The Blaine County Health Department has announced that they are planning to transition to Phase 1B of COVID-19 vaccination in mid-January, depending on vaccine availability and completion of the vaccination of Phase 1A recipients.

Phase 1B qualifications are:

  • Persons aged 75 or older
  • Persons residing in congregate care and correctional facilities
  • Frontline essential workers, which includes
    • First Responders
    • Education and all childcare workers
    • Critical infrastructure federal employees
    • Food & Agriculture
    • Manufacturing
    • Corrections workers
    • US Postal Service
    • Public transit workers
    • Grocery store workers
    • Child and adult protective service workers at risk of exposure
    • Inspectors of congregate care facilities or like settings
    • Critical infrastructure energy workers
    • Critical infrastructure IT workers
  • American Indians and other people of color who may be at elevated risk for COVID-19 complications

Those that meet the criteria of Phase 1B and are interested in vaccination can call the Blaine County Health Department at 357-2345, Monday through Friday from 8 AM-5 PM.

Staff will collect information from callers and call back to schedule and provide appointment details.
