HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A woman charged with a felony after allegedly knocking another woman unconscious outside Town Pump in Havre has been arraigned.
Kaylene Marie Ball pleaded not guilty to felony assault with a weapon last week in Hill County District Court.
Court documents allege that Havre Police were dispatched to a report of a fight outside Town Pump just before 8 PM on December 19th.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a woman lying in the parking lot. The woman, who was unable to respond to Officers, was being tended to by two medical professionals who witnessed the incident.
The medical professionals told Officers that the victim had been hit in the head with a bottle and was knocked unconscious for about five minutes when her head hit the ground.
The victim was transported to Northern Montana Hospital.
According to the affidavit filed in District Court, Ball admitted to hitting the woman in the head with a bottle of Black Velvet Whiskey, adding that “everybody saw it.”
Ball has been released from the Hill County Detention Center on her own recognizance. No future court dates have been set.
