HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Two juveniles are being charged after a fire caused minor damage to the basement of St. Jude’s Thaddeus Church in Havre earlier this month.
Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich says two 14-year-old boys are facing charges of arson, burglary and trespassing after allegedly lighting paper towels on fire in the church basement on the evening of January 13th.
Matosich says the incident is no longer under investigation and has been referred to Hill County Juvenile Probation and Parole and the County Attorney. He added that the juveniles were not taken into custody.
The County Attorney could not be reached for comment on Monday.
