HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A construction project is slated to begin next week on a bridge deck replacement on the south edge of Havre.
Crews will begin work Monday on an under one mile stretch of the Beaver Creel Highway between Border Patrol and the slowpitch softball fields.
Expect flaggers with minimal delay next week. Following that, Phase 1 will close the southbound lane until the northbound deck is complete and new bridge rail is installed. Phase 2 will close the northbound lane until the bridge deck is completed and new bridge rail is installed.
At least one lane will remain open at all times, and signal lights will help guide traffic. The speed limit will be posted at 35 miles an hour and the width restriction will be 14 feet.
Over width loads wishing to pass through construction need to contact Sletten Construction at 454-6466 to schedule accommodations.
The tentative completion date, weather permitting, is August 2021.
