GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – The Cascade County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body that was found in a vehicle submerged in the Missouri River.
Sheriff Jesse Slaughter says the victim has been identified as Tammy Goff of Great Falls. Goff had been missing for nearly three years, and the vehicle belonged to her. A cause of death has yet to be determined.
The vehicle and body were recovered several weeks ago, but the identity of the victim was not confirmed until last week.
Goff, 59, had last been seen in July 2018 traveling south in Great Falls in her Chevy Colorado. Her dog was found on Hawk Drive south of Great Falls 32 hours after Goff was last seen.
