DILLON, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Standard reports that a Dillon woman has pleaded guilty to mitigated deliberate homicide after being alleged to have strangled her boyfriend to death in January 2020.
Sandy Rose Moore, who was 19 at the time of the incident, confessed on Tuesday in State District Court to killing 49-year-old Larry Coon following a heated argument in a rental house.
Moore could face up to 40 years in prison.
Two other people have been alleged to have helped conceal the crime. Christina Van Duinen has pleaded guilty to a tampering charge, while Kerry Samuel Johnson has been charged with obstruction of justice and is believed to be considering a plea deal.
