COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – A 32-year-old Kalispell man has died as a result of injuries suffered in a two vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Flathead County.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the use of alcohol and drugs are both suspected factors in the crash, which occurred just before 1 AM when a northbound Volkswagen Jetta being driven by the Kalispell man attempted to negotiate a right-hand curve on Montana 206. The Jetta crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound Honda Accord that was being driven by an 18-year-old Columbia Falls man.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital and were wearing seatbelts. The Kalispell man ended up succumbing to his injuries.
