CHESTER, Mont. (NMB) – The nomination deadline has passed for municipal elections in Liberty County, where the only town holding elections is Chester.
For Ward 1 on the town council, Shane Kenfield was the only candidate to file.
For Ward 2 on the town council, the only candidate to file was Wendy Dauwalder.
Two candidates filed for Ward 3 on the town council: Sonja Dahlen and Barbara N. Vinson.
Although the nomination deadline has closed, people can still enter races as a declared write-in through August 30th.
All races are non-partisan, and there will not be a primary election due to the limited number of candidates.
The general election is scheduled for November 2nd.
